Welcome to the Hopton-on-Sea Parish Council website. We hope that this site contains the information you are looking for. If not, please do contact us as we may be able to assist with your enquiry. We would also like to hear from you with your comments and any suggestions that you think could improve the website.

Our objective is to keep you up to date with news and information about Hopton Parish Council (HPC). We meet on the second Monday every month at 7pm, Members of the public are most welcome. Our next Parish Council meeting will be held in Hopton Village Hall.

HPC sets its own budget to manage local affairs and we also consult with Great Yarmouth Borough Council, Norfolk County Council and other Parish Councils on such matters as planning applications or other issues of local interest.

There are three notice boards within the village for use by HPC. These are located outside the village hall on Station Road, in front of the old church on Coast Road and along Links Road. An Agenda is produced for each monthly meeting which is displayed in each notice board at least 3 days prior to a meeting date. A copy of the full Agenda is also available “on the door” at each meeting.

Things we do:

Consult with Great Yarmouth Borough Council on planning applications affecting properties/land in Hopton. Implement policy Manage resources Maintain financial records Deal with electors Consult with various agencies who provide services to the village Attend meetings to ensure the views of people living in Hopton are heard Set up Advisory Committees within HPC to deal with specific issues Produce Minutes following each meeting with action points
